HYDRATE

We all know that hydration pre and post exercise is super important. As the name suggests coconut water is 95% water and with just 19 calories per 100 grams coconut water is a great low-calorie option to quench your thirst after a workout at BEAT.

POTASSIUM

Coconut water is a great source of potassium, a naturally occuring mineral that helps your muscles and nerves function properly. Potassium also supports digestive and kidney health, regulates blood pressure and helps build strong bones. In short, we need potassium.

LESS SODIUM

Coconut water contains considerably less sodium than typically found in popular sports drinks:

"Ounce per ounce, most unflavored coconut water contains 5.45 calories, 1.3 grams sugar, 61 milligrams (mg) of potassium, and 5.45 mg of sodium compared to Gatorade, which has 6.25 calories, 1.75 grams of sugar, 3.75 mg of potassium, and 13.75 mg of sodium."

Having less sodium in your diet may help you lower or avoid high blood pressure. People with high blood pressure are more likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke.
