We hope this message finds you well, gearing up for the festive season with energy and joy. We've got something exciting to share – an opportunity for you to don your running shoes and join us at the Christmas Run Lausanne on Saturday, 16th December 2023.
WHATS THE PLAN?
We're assembling the BEAT Fitness Team for a fun run that promises festive cheer, camaraderie, and a chance to celebrate your accomplishments in 2023. But, there's more – after conquering the course, we invite you to join us at the Christmas Market Bô Noël for a well-deserved vin chaud and some post-run merriment.
HOW TO JOIN THE BEAT FITNESS TEAM
- Sign up for "Parcours populaire - court" 4.8km at 20:30 at the Christmas Run Lausanne website.
- Hit reply to the invite email, and let us know you're in!
- Pick up your dossard (bib) at Place de la Riponne between 7 and 8 pm - under the Meraki.
- Let's meet at La Riponne at 8pm for the warm-up (next to the dossard (bib) tent).
- We'll celebrate the end of the race by toasting marshmallows around the fire at La Riponne.

GET READY WITH OUR THREE-WEEK TRAINING PLAN
For those looking to get in shape for the run, we've crafted a simple three-week training plan. Mix it up with our signature BEAT Fitness classes:
- RIDE, BOXE, and HIIT: Boost your stamina and endurance.
- BARRE and YOGA: Strengthen your core and prevent injuries.
- STRENGTH: Build a robust body ready to conquer the run.
Our classes cater to all fitness levels, so whether you're a seasoned athlete or starting from scratch, we've got you covered.
THREE-WEEK TRAINING PLAN
Here's a simple three-week training plan to help you go from zero to 5km, starting on Monday, 27th September, and leading up to the run on Saturday, 16th December. This plan incorporates a mix of running and BEAT Fitness classes, including yoga for recovery after long runs.
WEEK 1: BUILDING THE FOUNDATION
- Monday (27th November): Run/Walk for 20 minutes (1:1 ratio of running to walking)
- Wednesday (29th November): RIDE or BOXE class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Friday (1st December): Run/Walk for 25 minutes (1:1 ratio)
- Saturday (2nd December):RIDE class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Sunday (3rd December): YOGA class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes) or easy yoga at home
WEEK 2: INCREASING ENDURANCE
- Monday (4th December): Run/Walk for 30 minutes (1:1 ratio)
- Wednesday (6th December): HIIT class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Friday (8th December): Run/Walk for 35 minutes (2:1 ratio)
- Saturday (9th December): RIDE class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Sunday (10th December): YOGA class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes) or easy yoga at home
WEEK 3: FINAL PUSH
- Monday (11th December): Run/Walk for 40 minutes (2:1 ratio)
- Wednesday (13th December): STRENGTH class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Thursday (14th December): YOGA class at BEAT Fitness (45 minutes)
- Friday (15th December): Easy run for 20 minutes
- Saturday (16th December): Rest and prepare mentally for the run
- RACE DAY (Saturday, 16th December): Christmas Run Lausanne! Enjoy the race and celebrate your achievement.
- POST-RACE RECOVERY: Sunday (17th December): Gentle yoga for recovery and relaxation.
