HALF HYROX at BEAT Fitness is BACK in the studio on Saturday 14.6.2025 and it's time to do it again or do it for the first time.
Experience the feeling of a HYROX competition, discover that ... you can do it (yes) . Come with your friend(s), come meet new friends and the staff @ BEAT connect with people just like you who loves pain and suffering ... oops we meant who love a good challenge.
Jokes aside, our HALF HYROX event is for you if you are:
- Training for a HYROX event and looking for a challenge to test your fitness
- Intrigued by HYROX GENEVA but want to try a smaller event first
- Want to take on a challenge with a friend
- Or just want to hang out with us and get free watermelon
WHAT IS HYROX?
To make it simple, HYROX is a Fitness Race which combines functional fitness ("workout stations") and endurance (this is the running part), all wrapped up in a high-energy, community-driven event. It's like a fitness festival where you come to sweat, just for the sake of it.
So all participants race a series of 1km runs interspersed with eight functional workout stations (SkiErg, Sled Push, Slep Pull, Burpees Broad Jump, Rowing, Farmer Caries, Sand bag Lunges and Wall balls)
HYROX is said to be for every body as an inclusive race that has no timecap. It takes the time you need ! HYROX thus offers several divisions to cater to different fitness levels and preferences. These divisions determine the weights used in the exercises, the level of competition, and the type of team format.
Individual Divisions:
- Open: This is the standard division, suitable for athletes of varying fitness levels.
- Pro: This division is for more experienced athletes and uses heavier weights.
Team Divisions:
- Doubles: Athletes pair up and split the workload of the exercises.
- Relay: Teams of four athletes split the race workload, making it more accessible and faster.
From skiErg to Sled pull, or from Lunges to Wall Balls, HYROX is a full-body experience that keeps you on your toes, literally!

HYROX is the fastest growing fitness race in the world. The unique combination of running and workout stations places a priority on a balanced and consistent training routine that includes both cardio and strength.
Take on the HALF HYROX to get a good feeling of what it could be like to run a real HYROX
Instead of 8x 1km run paired with 8x Workout stations, you will be doing 5x 500m runs and 5x HYROX workout stations:
- 500m run
- Ski erg 750m
- 500m run
- Sled pull 80m (80kg Women - 105 kg Men)
- 500m run
- Row 750m
- 500m run
- Sandbag lunges 80m (10kg Women / 20kg Men/Mixed)
- 500m run
- Wall balls x70 @ 6kg men / Mixed / 70@ 4kg women
HYROX can be completed in a team of two (Doubles)- 12 slots available - or as an individual (Singles) - 6 spots available.
DOUBLES
Take on the challenge with a teammate! You’ll both be doing all the running at the same time and then sharing the work in the workout stations as you wish!
If you are a mixed double (man and woman) you'll be using the mens requirements (called MIXED in the description)
To do the HALF HYROX in the Doubles category, you need to buy a ticket bellow then book your spot on the HALF HYROX - DOUBLES on the schedule

Q: Can I participate if I’m not a BEAT Fitness member?
A: Yes, absolutely! The event is open to everyone, whether you're a BEAT member or not. Just buy your ticket and sign up for the correct session in the schedule. It’s a great opportunity to discover the BEAT vibe and meet the community!
Q: I’ve never done a HYROX class. Can I still join the HALF HYROX Race Simulation at BEAT?
A: Yes! Just make sure you're ready for a 1-hour workout. You can train for it through our HYROX Drop-In classes and our other sessions (especially HIIT and STRENGTH), which help build the necessary fitness. The combination of Drop-In classes and the HALF HYROX simulation is a great way to find out if HYROX is for you before signing up for an official race!
Q: What should I bring on event day?
A: Wear comfortable workout clothes, indoor training/running shoes, bring a water bottle, and plenty of motivation! We provide all the HYROX equipment you’ll need. Snacks and watermelon will be available after the race
Q: How should I train for the event?
A: HYROX is 50% running, so the best combination is running regularly + HYROX and STRENGTH classes at the studio. Cardio-based workouts like BOXE and RIDE help build endurance, and HIIT is a great simulation of the full-body strength and endurance required. However if you never trained before make sure you talk with a coach before signing up or come take a few classes before the event !
Q: What happens if it rains on the day of the event?
A: No worries — the event will take place even if it rains ☔. Only the running portion happens outside, so come ready to brave the elements! All workout stations are indoors, so you’ll dry off quickly. We recommend bringing weather-appropriate gear (windbreaker, cap, etc.).
Q: What happens if I get injured and can’t take part in the event?
A: The HALF HYROX Race Simulation is a one-time event at BEAT Fitness Lausanne. If you’re injured and provide a valid medical certificate, we can convert your HYROX ticket into 1 credit for a HYROX class. No refunds will be issued.
